That was right, it was Dean who was on the video call with the little prince.
Dean maintained a humble smile on the screen. He said softly, “Before we start, I have a question that I want to ask you, Little Prince.”
“I wonder how highly you rate Jasper’s chances of beating Wall Street’s Quantum Fund is this time.”
The little prince chuckled and replied, “I asked you to put out enough bargaining chips for me to talk to you. This is a test for you.”
“You told me that within two trading days of the opening, Lord Alvarado will inevitably have a conflict with Jasper. Sure enough, what you predicted happened on the very first trading day.”
“You passed my test, then you threw a question back to me. Is this a test for me?”
Dean answered in a warm voice, “I dare not test you, Little Prince, but before we can confirm our cooperation, both of us must reach a consensus on certain issues.”
“At least, our view of the upcoming situation needs to be consistent, which will also facilitate the development of our future cooperation.”
The little prince narrowed his eyes slightly. One could not tell how much he believed this statement.
“Almost zero.”
After some contemplation, the little prince gave Dean his judgment.
Dean smiled and said, “However, from the current trend, there seems to be some back and forth from both sides.”
“Although Lord Alvarado’s foolishness caused a lot of losses for the center in Waterhoof City, the damage is far from critical.”
