Life at The Top novel Chapter 1724

The words Jasper said in Anna’s ear almost made Anna collapse.

She did not expect that Jasper would spend so much money to surprise her.

She looked at the passers-by on the side o

f the street as they whispered to each and guessed what the countdown meant. Then, she looked out at the entire city of Los Angeles, the second-largest city in the west of the United States and the largest city in the state, as countdowns filled every corner. Anna pursed her lips and was speechless.

“What’s wrong? Don’t you like it?”

Jasper panicked.

All of this was arranged according to his ideas.

Of course, Henry’s side was the one who pulled strings while Jasper only needed to pay up.

Still, the countdown of more than ten hours alone cost Jasper at least 6 million US Dollars..

However, this money and thoughts were nothing compared to Anna’s help to Jasper.

Therefore, if Anna did not like it after all

the thoughts and efforts, it was really not

worth it.

“No, I like it very much.”

Anna looked at Jasper with scorching eyes and said softly, “It’s just that I never thought you would prepare this for me.”

With a chuckle, Jasper was feeling much relieved and replied, “This is just the beginning.

“Come with me.”

After Jasper finished speaking, he pulled

Anna into the car.

The car quietly left Los Angeles. On the way, one could see electronic signs counting down everywhere. Countless people were taking pictures or asking someone what was going on, but they were destined to never get the answer.

After the car left downtown Los Angeles, it drove to Mt. Hallav

Next to the huge world-famous Hallavu sign, one could see Santa Monica Bay from a distance and the entire city of Los Angeles nearby.

The mountain breeze was blowing gently. After Anna got out of the car, she saw the whole city of Los Angeles bathed in the soft purple light at a glance.

At this moment, the dreamlike picture made Anna feel as if she was in a dream.

“It must have been a lot of effort, right?” Anna asked.

Jasper smiled.

In truth, to do this, money was only a trivial matter. The main problem was that it was very difficult to pull strings to get it done. Fortunately, Henry was quite good i n this aspect.

If they were easy-going, just talk to them until they agreed. On the contrary, if they were not that easy-going, just throw money at them until they became easy going. That was how this thing was done.

Even so it took nearly a month to get it

done.

“It’s all worth it.”

With a squeeze of Anna’s hand, Jasper said, “I want to give you an unforgettable birthday, that’s all.”

Anna looked up at Jasper, pursed her lips, and smiled. “This is indeed my most unforgettable birthday.”

Anna and Jasper were sitting on the ground of the observation deck in Mt. Hallavu without caring about their images. Then, Anna rested her head against Jasper.

At this moment, none of them mentioned business or domestic affairs.

They also did not mention the relationship between them.

This was the mutual understanding

between them.

Anna closed her eyes slightly and said, ” It’d have been amazing if I met you earlier.”

“It’s not too late now,” Jasper answered.

“No?”

Anna did not lift her head, but she seemed to see Jasper’s pained expression. She continued, “Never mind, let’s not think about that…”

After they left Mt. Hallavu, the sky had turned bright.
