Jax was stunned the moment he heard the roar on the other end of the phone.
‘What did Jasper do?’
Jasper did not do anything. He was just sitting opposite Jax.
‘Did his boss misunderstand?’
“Sir, let me explain. I am indeed negotiating with Jasper, but…”
“But what?!”
There was a roar from the other end again.
“F*ck, the company’s stock price has evaporated by 10 billion in just a few minutes! Don’t you know that?!”
After hearing this, Jax quickly turned on his phone and glanced at the stock app. When he saw Homer’s stock dropping a full ten percent, his mind went blank. A sense of powerlessness rushed straight to his head from the soles of his feet.
Jax slumped on his chair as if he had lost his soul. His eyes first stayed fixed on the phone before turning back at Jasper in disbelief.
“Jax, you bastard!”
“If you don’ t handle this matter well, you can just wait for your dismissal!”
Beep beep beep…
The line then cut off.
Jax felt all his strength draining from his body. He subconsciously released his right hand and the phone fell to the ground with a smack
On the other hand, Jasper only sneered when he saw Jax’s ashen face.
On one side, Beckett was also extremely shocked. Before, he had heard that Jasper was able to call the shots in the stock market and he even had many ways to do so. However, he had never seen it with his own eyes. Today, he had followed Jasper, and in just a few minutes, he had learned so much.
