Life at The Top novel Chapter 2089

Half the Harbor Langdon chuckled. Then, he looked at Soros, and said, “Mr. Soros, I‘m not in a hurry to go back, but my assets are still in Somerland, so I have no choice but to go back.”

In one sentence, Soros became aware of Half the Harbor Langdon’s determination to go back. Originally, he came here today to persuade Half the Harbor Langdon and had hoped that he could persuade Half the Harbor Langdon to stay in the United States.

It would be best to relocate all of his assets in Somerland over, but now that Half the Harbor Langdon had made up his mind, Soros would not say anything more.

“Okay, let’s do this. Today I’m hosting a dinner party at the Hilton Hotel. Mr. Langdon and Mr. Atticus, you must come, just think of it as me sending you off.”

Soros left after saying goodbye to everyone.

After he left, Half the Harbor Langdon looked solemn.

Sawyer looked at him and asked, “What’s the matter with you, Joe?”

Upon hearing this, Half the Harbor Langdon came back to his senses, shook his head with a wry smile, and said, “Soros and the Rothschilds will not let this rest so easily.”

Sawyer frowned slightly. “Joe, what do you mean?”

Half the Harbor Langdon added, “The United States and Jasper had agreed before that they would not interfere with each other for three years, but according to Soros’s temperament, he will definitely not wait for three years.”

Speaking of which, Half the Harbor Langdon sighed softly, “We have to go back as soon as possible, so we can’t delay any longer…”

Three days later, Half the Harbor Langdon and his family boarded a plane to Somerland while Sawyer remained in the United States temporarily.

The news quickly reached Somerland.

Zachary immediately called Jasper, “Jasper, you should have heard, right? Half the Harbor Langdon returned to Harbor City yesterday afternoon.”

Jasper had just woken up and he said with a smile, “I knew for a long time that he would definitely come back.”

Zachary also joked, “After all, Joe has been in the Harbor City circle for so long. This time he came back, he sent invitations to all the wealthy families in Harbor City saying that he is hosting a dinner party at his house and that everyone must attend. This move is to swear openly and secretly to everyone that once he returns, he will still be able to stir up a storm in Harbor City.”
