Jasper held her in his arms at night and slept peacefully until dawn.
The next morning, Wendy went to the company. Jasper drove directly to Rowan’s house in the Harbor City Mid-Mountain Residential Area. This was the first time Jasper came here, so the servants of the Jefferson family did not know him and stopped him at the door to question him.
“Sir, may I know who you are and why you are here?”
Jasper said flatly, “I’m looking for Mr. Rowan, is he at home? Tell him to come out and see me if he is.”
However, the servant hesitated and said, “I’m very sorry, we can’t report on your behalf if you don’t make an appointment in advance.”
Upon hearing this, Jasper frowned. He did not expect Rowan to have so many rules at home. However, he could understand why. After all, a few years ago, Half the Harbor Langdon’s son was kidnapped by the thief of the century.
Therefore, these wealthy businessmen in Harbor City were all worried. One could say that their security work was as rigorous as possible, which was different from the mainland. What was more, Rowan was the only son in his family. If something happened to him, the Jeffersons would have no successor. However, Jasper had something urgent to deal with today, so he had to see Rowan immediately. Hence, he gave Rowan a call.
It was already late morning, but Rowan was still sleeping with a few young models in his arms.
After hearing the phone ring, his first reaction was to bang up impatiently. However, he saw Jasper’s name on the caller ID at one glance.
He answered the phone quickly, “Hey, Jasper, it’s so early in the morning. What can I do for you?”
Jasper was dumbfounded and asked directly, “Where are you? I’m at your door now…”
“What?!”
Rowan immediately sat up from the bed after he heard that. He quickly put on his clothes and went out to greet Jasper.
“Jasper, weren’t you on the mainland? Why are you back at this time?”
