“It’s fine. I understand… To be honest, I should be the one apologizing. Let’s continue the previous topic,” Jasper said.
Lorelai nodded and answered thoughtfully.
“If it’s just this, I should be able to help. However, I won’t say too much for our safety. Is it enough for me to be vague when the time comes?”
Jasper was impressed by Lorelai’s vigilance. No wonder she was the vice president of Sangtel at such a young age. She was not just a pretty face.
“No problem. It’s more than enough! It’s so nice speaking to a smart person like you, Miss Bigelow…”
“You’re too kind. Are there other questions?” Lorelai asked with a smile.
Jasper shook his head and looked at Henry next to him.
“Henry, Miss Bigelow came all the way here, so we should entertain her well. We should let her experience the local conditions and customs of Harbor City.”
Henry nodded understandably. He knew things had been settled, so now, they should relax. Therefore, he brought everyone to a local Harbor City restaurant.
Jasper and Lorelai sat in one car on the way while Henry and Lord Alvarado got into another.
“That pretty lady just now was so amazing. She’s kind of like my sister…” Henry lamented inside the car.
Lord Alvarado chuckled and said, “Of course. As the saying goes, the prettier the woman, the more dangerous.”
Henry chuckled as he remembered his sister and the women around Jasper. “Jasper always interacts with dangerous people like this.”
“That’s right. This is why I am so impressed by Jasper,” Lord Alvarado replied with a grin.
He was not like Henry and was not as close to Jasper. Therefore, he would know not to go too far and had to be appropriate when cracking jokes.
