Osmond found Mr. Murik. Meanwhile, Mr. Murik still respected Osmond very much.
“Professor Osmond, do you have any orders?”
“No, I remember that there is another oil field on the list that hasn’t prepared for inspections yet… I can’t let them get off the hook. Call them now.”
Mr. Murik glanced at the list and spotted that it was Jasper who had not yet signed up.
“I see, leave this to me.”
Soon, Jasper received a call from Mr. Murik.
“Hi, is this Jasper Laine? I’m Mr. Murik… Today is the day all oil traders in Bashra will participate in the testing. As long as you can pass the test, the procedures on your side will go through smoothly. Why are you not here yet?”
Then came Jasper’s weak voice on the phone.
“I’m sorry, Sir, … l didn’t intend to not cooperate, I suddenly fell ill…”
“That’s okay, you can arrange for someone to send the crude oil sample. The result will be the same anyway…”
At this point, Jasper suddenly became nervous.
“How is that possible? Sir, you know that I am an outsider. l have to do everything myself if I want to run an oil business here. How about… Can you bring them over to me, Sir?”
Mr. Murik was stunned upon hearing this and turned back to ask Osmond for his opinion.
Osmond knew Jasper was stalling for time as soon as he heard it, so he replied directly, “Sir, you tell him that I will bring someone to him to run the test. No one can escape today!”
When Mr. Murik saw how determined Osmond was, he immediately conveyed the news back.
