Brock and the others said nothing as they immediately drove everyone back on the road to the airport.
Kerrick, who was knocked out, had probably ended his life in a deep sleep.
Bjorne ended his call with Kerrick and ran into Rose, who had finished dressing up.
“Have you gotten rid of that troublesome Nathalia?” Rose asked.
“Ms. Rose, I just spoke to Kerrick on the phone. He assured me that Nathalia won’t appear in Bashra today.”
Rose smiled with satisfaction after getting definite news. “Good. I can now go to the meeting without worry.”
Nathalia had long annoyed Rose, and Rose had always believed that she could take over without Barne.
Rose had been planning the takeover of Bashra’s oil industry for a long time. It looked like she was finally going to make it happen this time!
“It’s almost time. Has everyone else arrived?” Rose asked Bjorne.
“Miss Rose, everyone’s here and expecting you.”
Satisfied, Rose nodded and led Bjorne straight to the meeting.
Everyone in the room was talking about the benefits Rose was giving them, forgetting about their bad blood. Only the company chairman, Murik, could not help sighing as he listened at the side.
These guys were so focused on their immediate interests that they did not realize Rose’s true intentions.
“Oh, a bunch of fools who are only after money! They’ll probably help the other party out after being used!” The president, Murik, said helplessly.
He was not alone. Several businessmen who had always followed Murik were clear-headed.
“The only thing to do now is to use everything we can to buy time and wait for Nathalia’s return!”
After a while, Rose finally appeared.
When Rose showed up, everyone poured out their compliments. Rose enjoyed being fawn over. She walked up with a smile on her face.
