Her assistant Adrian asked with a face full of anxiety.
“What should we do now? If he goes on, I reckon everyone will wake up to reality!”
Rose knew this, but her expression remained calm.
“I get it. Doesn’t he like the limelight? Then I’ll let him enjoy it as much as he can! Take out everything we’ve prepared and slander Murik!”
“Yes!”
Murik on stage was still trying to make the crowd realize the truth with emotions and reason. However, everyone exclaimed and pointed behind Murik.
Murik instantly realized something was wrong and turned around to look. He did not expect to see his conspiracy with Lydia playing on the screen.
“What… What’s the meaning of this video?” Murik bellowed.
“It’s simple. Do you see this? President Murik is the mole. He’s been in close contact with the Somerland businessman! Now, what do you do with someone who tries to stop me just as I’m about to lead us to success?”
Rose pushed Murik against everyone, and the stooges off the stage immediately spoke up.
“Arrest this fellow!”
“Yes, arrest him!”
When everyone heard this, they began nodding earnestly and heckled.
Murik did not expect this at all. He just wanted to bring people to their senses as soon as possible. He was instantly startled to see the angry crowd rushing forward.
They quickly grabbed Murik and forced him to his knees.
“President Murik, I thought there was a mole because I was repeatedly slandered by the scheming Somerland businessman, Josef. But I never expected it to be you! How do you explain it in front of so many people who believed in you?” Rose continued to blame Murik, who was at a loss for words.
Rose dared not let Murik go to court. That would expose her secret control of the Petroleum Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, Rose quickly made up an excuse.
Rose seemed to have given the crowd the choice but was actually asking the stooges she had planted.
Murik accepted his fate, as he waited for Lydia to return.
