After hearing this, Frank only felt that there was a puff of breath in his chest which almost didn't come up (someone was burnt up).
However, in front of his girlfriend, he must always maintain his demeanor. He suppressed his anger and ridiculed. "Hey, dude, you are very confident, you must be a dragon or phoenix among people (to describe a person that is prominent among people). I wonder what kind of car do you usually drive?"
Jack said lightly, "I don't have a car."
Frank sneered and said, "You don't even have a car? What a loser. Well, I have a car from BMW 5 series, which is a bit older, but it is still a luxury car for you. For Sally's sake, I can sell it to you at a low price."
"Not interested in it," Jack sneered, "what are you boasting of? A car you bought by begging your parents? How much have you debited for this car?"
Jack remembered that in his previous life, Frank bought this car to satisfy his vanity, but he cannot really afford it. In order to buy this Mercedes-Benz S65, he forced his parents to make a down payment of nearly 144,000 dollars, and then he debit for nearly 287,000 dollars. He had to repay 600,000 to 700,000 dollars of loan each month. It forced him to borrow money everywhere.
The main reason why Frank would become Vince’s flunky and ranged against Jack with him was that Vince had given him a sum of money which had solved his urgent needs. Otherwise, the loan and maintenance costs of this luxury car could be enough to drag him down.
Frank was so angry at Jack's words that he almost couldn't help cursing.
He did ask his family for a long time before he get the funding. Originally, his parents gave him 144,000 dollars to buy a car with the full price of less than 144,000 dollars, but he acted on his own will and paid a down payment of 144,000 dollars to buy this S65.
This was his weak point. He didn’t expect that it was pointed out directly by Jack.
Frank gave chicanery in irritation, "I bought this car in full payment. What do you know, pauper."
Jack sneered and said, "We can learn from the car purchase contract that did you pay it in full. You just got the car, hence the contract should be in the car, right?"
"You..." Frank didn't expect that Jack would say this, and he was dumbfounded at once, not knowing how to cop with it.
Seeing her boyfriend suffer a setback, Jinwei Li was furious, "Frank has a rich family. Don't be jealous of him, you pauper. It is useless! You might want your family to buy you a Mercedes-Benz S65, but they cannot afford it. How can you be worthy of Sally? If you are sensible, you should disappear by yourself."
Jack glanced at her lightly, and didn't even bother to speak.
Sally didn't want to see them arguing on the street, so she said quickly, "Okay, let's stop right now. Get in the car quickly. Tonight is the engagement party, so don’t disappoint us, Jack."
At this time, Frank suddenly stretched out his hand and said to Jack, "I'm sorry, my car will be full when the two beauties sit in it I can't carry you, so you can take a taxi to go there."
This car was commodious with had five seats. Frank said that there was no seat for Jack, which meant that he didn't want Jack to sit in it.
But Jack didn't care about it. He sneered, "Okay, I'll take a taxi."
Frank glanced at Jack contemptuously, then walked to the brand-new Mercedes-Benz S65, opened the rear door, and let the two women sit in.
