Morgan widened his eyes at the sight. "Please calm down, Prince Penn! There seems to be a misunderstanding here. Please don't get physical."
The crowd heaved a sigh of relief seeing the president speak out. There was no way this guy was going to kill Leo in the president's face, even if he was Trevor Penn.
Leo relaxed at the sight as well. Despite the fact that he was an Aura level cultivator himself, Leo knew that he was nothing in front of someone like Trevor.
Of course, he was still scared for his life.
Just then, however, Wilbur drove his spear into Leo's chest, hoisting him into the air.
Blood splattered on the walls as Leo looked down at his skewered body in disbelief.
The other higher-ups went pale in the face as well. No one had expected Wilbur to go in for the kill, especially not with the president there.
Was he really that uncaring of the consequences that would come? This was Manand he was in, where Leo was a known close friend of the president.
Morgan stared at Wilbur dumbly as well, shock and pain clear in his expression.
Just then, Wilbur said, "You had the nerve to threaten me, saying you were going to have me killed. I really don't know for the life of me where you found the courage to do that."
Of course, Leo could hardly get another word out then.
As blood gushed out of him, Leo's life began to fade as well.
"Remember this—ignorance is not one's greatest flaw, but arrogance is. This is what you get for provoking me."
The spear vanished after Wilbur spoke, and Leo's body crashed onto the floor heavily.
He had lost consciousness by then but still managed to hear Wilbur's last sentence.
Of course, Leo did not get the chance to ponder what those words meant.
The banquet hall was dead silent.
Everyone's expressions were wrought with panic, unsure of what to do next.
At last, all eyes fell on Morgan as they waited to see how he would handle this.
