Wilbur knew that something was off at once as well.
It was definitely no coincidence that someone was taking photos at a time like this.
Elsa's expression darkened, and she shouted, "Bring them over here!"
A team of Special Forces officers ran over.
Very soon, a few people holding professional cameras were brought over.
All of them seemed strangely calm.
Wilbur looked at them quietly, his expression ashen.
Elsa turned to them coldly. "Who are you, and why are you here?"
"We're reporters. Here's my license." One young man took out a reporter's ID and passed it to Elsa.
Elsa glanced at it. "Wade Holen, a reporter for the CNS?"
"That's right. These are all fellow industry members of mine, just not from the same network."
Elsa frowned. "Why are you all here?"
"We received a complaint about an illegal arrest and mistreatment of the elderly, so we came to do some field work." A smug smirk appeared on Wade's face.
Elsa turned to Wilbur at the words.
Just then, Faye turned to whisper in Wilbur's ear, "Watch out. Someone's trying to get you into trouble. We're going to be the talk of the town the second this goes up."
Wilbur knew how fast news spread on the internet, and thus saw how serious of a matter this was.
Just then, one of the middle-aged women stood up and stuck out her chin haughtily at Wilbur and the others.
