Wilbur smiled and said, "Like you said, it's politics. It doesn't mean that this is your father's actual opinion of me. I can understand it completely."
Faron was silent for a moment before he said slowly, "I thought you would kick me out."
"Do you think I'm that petty?" Wilbur glared at Faron and said.
Faron laughed and said, "This is why you're my boss. Let's just put the matter aside for now. Give me a few days to calm down and I'll go talk to my father."
"That's good. They're definitely very worried about you."
"I understand. You can talk to Faye now. I'll go to sleep now and get up early tomorrow," Faron left after he said that.
However, his footsteps seemed heavier than usual.
After Faron left, Faye frowned and said, "Wilbur, what do you think about this?"
"I'm not that interested in politics. Orin made his own choice, and it doesn't really affect me, so there are no conflicts here," Wilbur said.
Faye let out a sigh of relief, saying, "I was worried that you would be angry. After all, we have such a good relationship with Faron. If we end up souring on each other, he'd be in a very difficult spot."
"Exactly. As friends, we shouldn't make things so difficult for him. However, it will be up to him what he chooses and what kind of person he decides to be," Wilbur said seriously.
Faye said slowly, "I think you can look for Orin and have a proper conversation with him."
"There's no need. Orin has already made his choice. He clearly has his own reasons for that, so we don't need to force it," Wilbur said.
Faye sighed, not saying anything else.
At that moment, Charles' voice could be heard from outside, "Sir, there's someone called Robert Stone who wants to see you. He says it's something incredibly important."
"Robert Stone?" Wilbur thought about it, but he did not seem to know that person.
After a moment, Wilbur said, "I'll go take a look."
