"No, I don't."
"Ah, it's going to be hard to see him, then. He only greets his believers at the Sleeping Buddha Temple on the fifteenth of every month. No one really sees him otherwise."
"I'll just have to think of another way, then," said Wilbur.
Bailey shrugged. "I don't think I can help you out with that, then. Goodbye, Mister Penn."
"Hold on." Wilbur took out a stack of Dashan bills, passing them to Bailey. "Here's your pay."
Bailey stared at the money in shock, which looked to be no less than ten thousand dollars. "I haven't even done anything, Mister Penn. I can't take your money."
A thought seemed to come to her all of a sudden, and she shook her head at Wilbur. "I'm not that kind of girl, either. I'm sorry."
Bailey set the money back down on the table and turned to leave.
Wilbur did not know what to think.
He had just wanted to help out this hardworking exchange student, only for her to misread his intentions completely.
Yet just as Bailey had opened the door, she let out a scream and ran back to hide behind Wilbur.
Jack was at the door with a few blokes. He had a murderous smile on his face as he walked in.
The blokes were all covered in tattoos with vicious expressions. It was not hard to tell that they were all definitely gangsters and hooligans.
Jack came up to Wilbur with a sneer. "You hit on my girlfriend and threatened me. What are we going to do about that?"
Wilbur glanced at the hunky blokes behind Jack with a smile. "And who would these gentlemen be?"
"This is my leader, Sopa. He runs this street." Jack smirked smugly.
One of the blokes behind him, a burly-looking man with a bald head rubbed his head with a murderous smirk at Wilbur.
Wilbur frowned. "Aren't you a student too, Jack? What are you doing hanging around with people like them?"
"That's none of your business! Pay up, or you're going to be sorry," Jack spat.
Wilbur scoffed. "I think you should get lost before you're sorry."
