The crowd could not help but tremble.
Despite the fact that Cade was not of Sanctuary level, he had clearly gotten close from the way it looked. He was definitely at least pre-Sanctuary,
A pre-Sanctuary level cultivator had been killed off with a single move.
That meant that Wilbur was not of Ambience level for sure.
Just then, Darben got to his feet, pale in the face as he said, "Gentlemen, I'll leave you to settle your own affairs. I'll stay out of this."
He left in a hurry with his secretaries after that.
The affairs between Sanctuary level cultivators were far from what a little mayor like him could afford to take part in.
After he was gone, the crowd gazed at Wilbur in terror, unsure what to do next.
Bailey's gaze at Wilbur, however, was full of nothing but admiration.
She had finally realized just how powerful Wilbur was and found it deeply attractive.
Wilbur began to pace about the room. Daryl, Sans, and the others hardly dared to breathe a word, as if they convicts were waiting for their sentence.
That was not far from the truth.
Wilbur had the situation in the palm of his hand, and the fates of these people could change with a single word of his.
Wilbur walked around the room once, shaking his head. "Is that all the cultivators of Shia can do? That's disappointing."
To tell the truth, he would have been spat on if he had said those words just now.
Now, however, no one dared to say a thing in response.
Wilbur made another two rounds in the room, before his expression turned cold. "You can all get lost now. I'll be taking up this manor in compensation for how Cade disrespected me. Go back and tell all the cultivators of Shia that anyone who would like to challenge me is more than welcome to show up here. I'll be sure to let those bastards know that they aren't worth dust in front of the mighty Dasha nation, do you understand?"
Daryl and Sans' chests lurched.
