Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 1417

However, in doing so, the corporation would be finished, and as the chairman of the corporation, Lindon could not allow that to happen.

After a brief pause, Lindon spoke in a deep voice, "Gentlemen, give us some time to consider this. Also, please negotiate with the court again; the bail amount is just too high."

"Moreover, we need to meet with Jaden and Connor as soon as possible," Carlson said.

Sergey nodded, saying, "We'll do our best, but according to the laws here, you might not be able to see them until after the trial."

After saying this, the two stood up and walked towards the exit. Lindon gestured for Carlson to see them off.

Once he saw the two out, Carlson returned and plopped down on the sofa, exclaiming, "What's with this nonsense? Asking for fifty billion straight up, do they think we're running a money press?"

Meanwhile, Lindon began pacing back and forth in the living room, frowning in silence.

After a while, Carlson sighed and said, "Stop pacing around, it's giving me a headache."

"They've been set up," Lindon muttered to himself, ignoring Carlson's remark.

Upon hearing this, both Carlson and Elise stood up, looking at Lindon.

Continuing to pace, Lindon said, "I warned them that things aren't as easy here without connections, but they wouldn't listen. They were too eager to prove themselves."

"Don't blame the kids at this point. Just tell us what's going on," Carlson urged anxiously.

With a grunt, Lindon said, "That gold mine? They never intended to give it to them in the first place. Arresting them was just to make them back off."

"Well, let them back off then. If they don't want the gold mine, then so be it. Let them release our people," Carlson said, his voice filled with frustration.

Glancing at him, Lindon furrowed his brow. "It's not that simple. Without being stripped down to the bone, we might find it hard to get them back."
