The Westerian cultivators, on the other hand, returned to their senses after their brief high had worn off. It was now displaced with a deep fear.
Wilbur was back. Where was Master Atrus, then?
Despite them refusing to believe it, it was indeed true that only the victor would survive a battle like that.
How could this be, though? How could Master Atrus have lost?
Just then, a few dozen figures zipped over the ocean. They landed behind Wilbur, on their knees.
The cultivators at the dock paled in the face at the sight at once.
They were the Sanctuary level cultivators who had gone into the battle with Master Atrus!
Also, there were supposed to be sixty of them. Why were there barely even a third of them left? Why were they all kneeling? Where were the others?
The next second, a deep terror rose up amidst their souls.
Could Master Atrus have really lost? Why else would Wilbur be the one standing here?
On top of that, less than half of the Sanctuary level cultivators were kneeling behind him.
Just then, one of the Super Sanctuary level cultivators behind Wilbur said, "Tell all the cultivators of Westeria that Master Atrus has been defeated in battle and has perished. Mister Wilbur Penn won fair and square and even granted us the generosity of sparing our lives. All the cultivators of Westeria shall bow to Mister Penn and leave at once, or they shall be killed with no mercy."
This was a decision the remaining survivors had made after a brief discussion.
They had to tell the truth about the outcome of the battle and tell all the cultivators of Westeria to surrender before retreating as quickly as they could.
If these people were to enrage this terrifying god of a man in the slightest, Master Atrus' sacrifice in exchange for their lives would all go to waste and the cultivator circle in Westeria would be wiped out.
The Sanctuary level cultivators could not stand the thought of that happening and had thus rushed over to have their most powerful super Sanctuary level cultivator, Romandy, make a declaration.
The other cultivators could not believe Romandy's words yet, standing frozen to the ground in a daze.
Romandy saw this, and shouted, "Why aren't you bowing? Do you have a death wish?"
His voice rang aloud in the people's souls, making them tremble all over.
They had finally realized then that Master Atrus was truly dead.
