Wilbur let out a cough. "I'm sorry, I was held up with some stuff. Give me a moment. I'll pick you up and we'll see Faye together."
"Forget it! I've seen through your lying ass! I made this call to tell you that you can forget about trying to lie to me." Sarah hung up the call right after.
Wilbur shook his head, getting into his car and driving off to Sarah's hotel at once.
He arrived at Sarah's room not long after, knocking on the door and entering.
Sarah glared at him coldly. "How dare you still show up? I should be calling the cops on you!"
"I swear I was held up with something. Faye's waiting for us. Come on," Wilbur smiled.
Sarah snorted. "You're still lying? Do you take me for an idiot?"
"Well, you'll find out once we get there, won't you? It's barely fifteen minutes to get to Cape from here," said Wilbur.
Sarah began to hesitate at the words once more. To tell the truth, she still remained a little hopeful in Wilbur. There was no other way out of her situation, after all.
A moment later, Sarah said, "Fine. I'll trust you just this once."
"I'm not lying to you. Let's go." Wilbur turned to leave, and Sarah followed after him.
The two of them got into Wilbur's car, heading to Cape's headquarters. It had been a while since Wilbur had been here, too.
Upon reaching the main entrance, Wilbur said to the receptionist, "I've got an appointment with Madam Yves."
The two receptionists straightened up abruptly at the sight of Wilbur, one of them practically cheering. "You're here, Mister Penn! Madam Yves has been waiting for you."
Wilbur smiled and turned to head for the elevator.
The receptionists stared after him, whispering to each other looking overwhelmed with emotion.
