The Rocher Manor was located by the river that ran through the middle of Hemount City. It was a sprawling ten acres of land that looked nothing but luxurious from the outside, with no buildings surrounding it at all.
This one-of-a-kind piece of property was a clear status symbol for the Rochers in Hemount City.
Just then, over in the living room, Sawyer stood in the middle of the room trembling from head to toe with his two bodyguards as Chad lay on the floor, his livelihood still uncertain.
On the sofa sat Seamus, looking positively ashen, as well as a few other core members of the Rocher family.
Next to Seamus sat an old, bearded man radiating an aura that was starkly different from all the Rochers.
James Rocher, Seamus' younger brother said, "The Neeses beat Sawyer up and killed Chad. This is clearly a provocation, and we need to change strategies now. We're taking the Neeses down right away."
The rest of the Rochers nodded in agreement.
The Rochers had never been humiliated quite like this, and the Neeses were in big trouble.
Yet Seamus merely sneered. "I told Sawyer not to start any trouble, but look at what he's done! Now his face is swollen, and we've been humiliated. I hope you're happy!"
"Dad, I just wanted to give the Neeses a warning! Sarah running away from her engagement is a huge act of disrespect to the Rochers. Shouldn't I have taught them a lesson?" Sawyer had snapped out of his stupor now and was raising his voice again.
Seamus paid him no mind, turning to the elder sitting next to him instead. "Elder Fornst, how powerful do you think this guy is judging from Chad's wounds?"
The elder was none other than Sanctuary level cultivator Chandler Fornst, who worked for the Rochers.
Chandler replied, "Peak Ambience at most, from the look of those injuries."
"Could he be of Sanctuary level?" Seamus frowned.
