As the person in charge of the village, Darren seemed to operate contrary to the values that he should have.
Around the village, Darren was notorious. He was a true tyrant. Everyone knew that Darren had become rich and powerful in several surrounding villages, but the money he earned was far from clean.
However, since Darren had a relative in the city government, the villagers who suffered had no one to turn to for help. So, Darren continued to oppress them.
That day, while Darren was rolling around in bed with a pretty widow from the village, he heard some frantic knocking on the door.
As Darren put on his pants to answer the door, ready to scold whoever dared to disturb him, he was surprised to see the look of urgency on Salid Tomaz, the village ruffian. Darren immediately realized that something was going on.
"What's with the rush? Is the sky falling? If you have something to say, spit it out!"
Darren knew that Salid never did anything that would not benefit him. So, if Salid was there to report something, it was absolutely urgent.
So, Darren took out a few bills from his pocket and slapped them on Salid's chest. After that, he asked authoritatively.
"It's really bad… Solomon got beaten up! You better go take a look, or that ruthless guy might beat Solomon to death!"
That day, Salad had originally planned on going to the small shop in the village to buy two packs of cigarettes, but as soon as he arrived at the entrance, he saw Solomon and a few others being beaten to the ground by Wilbur.
With a flash of insight, Salad ran to report this to Darren, hoping to gain some benefits.
"What? My son got beaten?"
