"I asked them if they wanted any flowers and the man in the photo said no, but he did give me ten dollars." Leia even took out the note to show it to Enoff.
"Well done, Leia! Good job! You can get your mother's medicine for free at the hospital for the next six months. Take it as a reward for the information you gave me. You keep this and bring something yummy back for your mother. Don't keep selling flowers anymore today. It might get really dangerous out there!" said Enoff, handing a thick stack of bills to Leia.
Leia nodded obediently at the sumptuous reward in her hand and skipped away from the manor.
Enoff watched as she left, before heading into the house, closing the door, and heading to a warm yellow bedroom.
A beautiful woman who could not speak was lying on the huge bed in the room. Enoff came up to her, taking her by the hand. "I'm going to head out for a bit, Evelyn. I'll be back soon, though. Don't worry about me."
Evelyn blinked her eyes twice from where she was lying down as if she were responding to Enoff.
Enoff smiled. He returned Evelyn's hand to its normal position and left the house.
Enoff drove out of the plantation, dialing an anonymous number before heading toward the luxurious manor in the opposite direction of town.
Over on a hill east of Fenler was a castle. A man named Derkley lived in it, the richest and most powerful man in the entire town!
