"Aidementon is not that far away from Pilsey. It's only about an hour's drive."
Tina then added, "And from what I know, this auction will be focused on Dashan artifacts that have been lost overseas. Mr. Penn, since you're from Dasha, this auction may be very meaningful for you."
Hearing that, Wilbur felt delighted. He was already searching for ancient artifacts and learning that this auction would feature artifacts from Dasha that were lost overseas filled him with great confidence. He said, "Yes, let's go together. I'll bid for any Dashan artifacts at this auction. I'll have these artifacts brought back to Dasha and donate them to the museums for free."
After lunch, Wilbur and Tinea set off together. Wilbur drove and managed to get to Pilsey in just fifty minutes.
After parking the car in the underground parking lot of the auction venue, Wilbur and Tina took the elevator to the third floor where the auction was being held. While walking along the corridor lined with red carpet, they were stopped by a blond man in a suit.
The blond man said, "Sir, please show your invitation letter."
Wilbur and Tina exchanged glances. Generally, high-end auctions like this were private events, and only invitation letters were sent to designated individuals.
Although Tina had found information about this auction, she did not receive an invitation letter for it.
Tina pleaded, "Please, we saw the information about this auction online. There are some items we really want, and not just one of them. We are prepared enough to acquire these items. Please, give us a chance."
The blond man seemed disdainful of Tina's plea and said, "Everyone who wants to enter the auction says the same thing to me. Do you expect me to believe every one of them?"
"It's true. Please, let us in."
Shaking his head, the blond man said, "Madam, please don't make it difficult for me."
