Wilbur scowled as he watched Greg leave, disgust flaring up in his chest. Despite not wanting to meddle in the Jonan clan's affairs, they had come looking for him and Wilbur had no choice but to pray that Madam Marie would eventually reach out to him to talk about purchasing more items from her personal collection.
At the same time, Demetra and Miyah were in the middle of dinner in a restaurant in Aidementon. Miyah glanced at the plane ticket in her hand, setting it down on the table before cutting a piece off her steak to eat.
Despite the two of them having agreed not to discuss the flight, Miyah could not hold back her curiosity and asked, "Do I really need to leave? Aren't you powerful enough for me to stay by your side? Who are you going up against, anyway? Why are you so scared? I've never seen you like this before."
Demetra, who had never been good at expressing his feelings, set down his fork coldly. "Do you really want to know?"
"Yes, I do. We promised to be together for the rest of our lives, but now you're trying to send me away," Miyah said.
"It's only temporary. I'll come looking for you the second things are settled," Demetra replied.
Demetra's calmness only made Miyah all the more anxious. She knew what he was like— the more dire the situation was, the calmer Demetra would appear. This meant that the situation at hand must be a real pickle.
"You still haven't told me who you're going up against."
"Greensource Corp."
"What? You?"
