Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 1810

Wilbur sensed the powerful wave of spiritual energy in the Holy One and furrowed his brows. "You're at the Emperor level. I didn't expect that."

The Holy One smirked. "There's a lot more you don't know about this world. I'd advise you to hand the holy weapon over before I get angry, or I promise you I'll keep my word and kill everyone in this building."

Wilbur was not scared of the threat in the slightest, but he remained calm. "From what I know, Walton's been pretty good to you. He treats you like a god of the Jonan family, but you killed him just like that. It doesn't seem like you'll let me or the people in this building go, even if I do hand the holy weapon over."

The Holy One's gaze flashed with disgust. He felt like Wilbur was nothing but weak, someone who hardly had the right to discuss any conditions with him.

He had to get the holy weapon back, and this guy, along with everyone in this building had to die!

The Holy One said, "No, you're not the same as Walton. Walton is a greedy man who's gotten too much from me, but nothing ever satisfies him. It was his greed that killed him. You know that I'm called the Holy One. Why would he call me that if I wasn't worthy of such a name? Now, what I can promise you is that you'll live as long as you give me the holy weapon. In fact, I'll even take you in as my pupil. I can teach you how to control the power of destruction and the power of light at the same time!"

The Holy One looked at Wilbur, realizing that there was both the power of light and the power of destruction in Wilbur's body. Improving one's powers was extremely important to a cultivator.

There was nothing more tempting than the opportunity to improve one's powers to another level.

That was why the Holy One had offered to take Wilbur in as a pupil. He wanted to lure Wilbur into handing over the holy weapon. Unfortunately, Wilbur had experienced enough to see right through his intention.

The Holy One mentioning the power of the light and the power of destruction also proved to Wilbur that both powers could not co-exist.
