"Alright, that's not on you. From what I know, you've been working for Locke for ten years now. Is that true?"
"Yes, sir. As a matter of fact, I would have been working for Mister Locke for eleven years in two months."
"Alright. Well, since you've been with him for so long, I'm sure you must know his weaknesses and flaws. Surely you know what he likes and dislikes, right?"
Tony paused for a beat, before saying, "Actually, Mister Locke isn't too different from the other heads of families out there. The only thing that made him stand out from the others was that Mister Locke hated anyone looking down on him or talking down to him. Mister Locke absolutely hated being called useless. From what I know, Mister Locke has gotten rid of anyone who tried to look down on him. Those people would either end up missing or leaving Rostead altogether. It can be said that Mister Locke was unrivaled in the country."
Wilbur was able to find out Locke's weaknesses upon coming out of the manor. It was definitely rare for a businessman to have zero enemies in the last ten years, and having an enemy appear for the first time must definitely be a great blow to Locke.
The name Molton would surely be able to awaken Locke's memories. As long as the Shadow King could be controlled by Locke's memories, he would not be able to stop himself from confronting Wilbur.
Wilbur returned to the hotel, where he exchanged his findings with Perry and the others. They had all pretty much gotten the same information: Locke's ego was frightfully massive, and the fact that he had not had any enemies in the past ten years actually had a great deal to do with the fact that he was a cultivator.
Rostead had once been a place full of competition. Just ten years ago, Locke had merely been the representative of one out of five major clans, and he merely owned a tenth of the market.
If they were going purely on wealth and business, Locke would not have been able to take down the other major clans. Yet as time went on, the other major clans left one by one within a single year. That was something that had rocked all of Rostead then.
