The next time Wilbur stopped to look at the walls of the tunnel, he saw the mark he had made just now. It seemed like he had been walking in a circle.

Wilbur frowned. If he was walking in circles, he would never make it out of this mine. He would have to think of another way.

After pondering for a while, Wilbur looked up to see five tunnels in front of him. An image flashed through his head. He felt as if he had seen this exact sight before. Wilbur's mind raced furiously before his eyes lit up in realization!

That parchment map that the liquid woman had asked the shopkeeper to pass to him!

Wilbur suddenly remembered that he had seen these exact five tunnels on the map before and took the piece of parchment out at once. Sure enough, the sight before him matched the map exactly.

This was a map of Tuttle Mine, after all. Wilbur was excited, as there was a sign marking the exit of the mine. He followed the sign and walked for a little over ten minutes before he heard an audible drop of water.

An ominous feeling rose up in Wilbur's chest at once. After all, water hardly appeared in these tunnels. This must mean that he was at the deepest part of the mine.

This was clearly not the exit, but the deepest part of the mine. Wilbur realized that he had been tricked by the liquid woman and tore the parchment to shreds. "That evil woman."

Just as his words echoed in the tunnel, a woman's voice could be heard from the darkness ahead, "Surely, you must be far more evil than I could ever be. You killed my son, after all. My son is dead, but here you are, still alive. How is that not mocking me?"
