“He chose to get physical, kidnapping Sherry Divos and attempting to kill Telford Gills. Now that he’s been arrested, he’s got a pretty heavy sentence waiting for him. He might say a lot of things to lighten his sentence that could involve the company.”
Dorson said nothing, listening silently.
Kim paused for a while, before continuing, “With how things are, I guess you’ll just have to pay the Special Forces department a trip. Jordan has to die. If you can, take the girl and Gills out too.”
“Understood, Miss Jenkins.”
Kim looked at Dorson. “The company will make sure your family is tended to, and I’ll tell the High Lady the truth as well. Go ahead.”
“Thank you, Miss Jenkins.”
Dorson turned to leave the office, remaining emotionless.
Kim took a long drag of her cigarette and muttered to herself, “Jordan Pavian, you useless piece of garbage! Now I’m going to lose Dorson. What am I supposed to say to the High Lady?”
She snubbed the cigarette hard into the ashtray, her expression ashen.
Dorson left Joy Corp, disappearing into the night.
Around two o’clock in the morning, the Special Forces department was dead quiet aside from the guards on patrol
Elsa sat in her office, with her assistant diligently sorting out documents.
Elsa herself lounged in her chair leisurely, one leg elegantly crossed over the other.
Sherry, Telford, and jordan had confessed to everything, giving their case all the evidence they needed. All that was left was to
wait for the sentence.
On top of that, the memory card holding the footage from the camera in Sherry’s Beetle had been restored. Wilbur’s innocence would be proven, and Cape’s reputation would be restored as well. It was the perfect solution.
Elsa had yet another win to add to her records.
She was a little pleased with herself, having solved so many cases lately.
There was Kenji Lillith’s gambling ring, the sick man turning into the monster, and now there was Telford Gills‘ downfall. Altogether, she now had three major cases on her record.
Just then, the thought of her superior popped up and she scowled at the thought.
Her superior had been fired and sentenced to prison over Kenji’s case, and the position had been empty since then.
With all the cases Elsa had been cracking lately, the position of captain was going to be hers for sure, but it did not make her happy in the slightest.
Ugh!
