Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 2204

Eli and Aite looked at each other, and their expressions darkened. "That's hardly possible, Mister Penn. We've done the math, and that chest of gold is really worth around two hundred million. The difference can't be that big."

Aite nodded. "We want forty million, and not a penny less. Otherwise, we won't give up our share."

Wilbur frowned at the two men with growing suspicion. After all, the chest was buried deep in the Vicente Primeval Forest, where no one had reached to this day. No one was supposed to know how much that treasure cost at all.

Not only did these two men know that the treasure was a chest full of gold, but they even knew how much it was worth. How was that possible?

Wilbur was the CEO of Cape International and worth billions of dollars, so forty million dollars was hardly anything to him. Even so, he had his boundaries. Wilbur would have been fine helping them out if it was just a few million dollars.

However, the two brothers had asked for forty million outright. They did not seem to need Wilbur to help them out with any dreams of theirs but were instead just going after the money. Wilbur knew that giving them the money would get the job done for sure, but he did not find that to be a good way to end things.

Wilbur had his own way of doing things, and he wanted to do this well so there were no regrets.

Vernon and the others each had dreams of their own, and Wilbur was more than happy to help them out so they could go back to the lives they had and be at peace. With Eli and Aite, however, giving them the forty million dollars would probably not satiate their greed at all.

Wilbur did not know if this would really help the two brothers out. Their greediness would still be a problem, and Wilbur even felt like he might not pass Josie's first test in doing this.
