“Yeah,” the man said, crossing his legs and nodding. “Arsi mentioned that you’re quite the driver. Are you interested in joining our team?”
Wilbur responded, “Forming a racing team isn’t cheap. Arsi and I are just regular guys. You sure that’s not a problem?”
“Of course not.”
The man shrugged and continued, “But we have one condition. You need to pass our test and earn an ‘A’ grade. This will prove your skills, and only then will we allow you to join our team.”
Hearing this, Wilbur had not even had the chance to reply before Arsi eagerly chimed in, “Don’t worry, Ariel. Wilbur’s driving skills far surpass mine.”
“Let’s talk privately.”
Wilbur grabbed Arsi and led him outside the office. Once they were outside, he asked, “Have you checked these guys? They’ve been gone for two months and just showed up today?”
Arsi reassured him, “Don’t worry, Wilbur. They’ve all passed the genetic scanner tests. They’re just like us normal people. But their conditions might be a bit tough. Wilbur, are you sure you can get an ‘A’ grade?”
“We’ll discuss that later. What about the town’s power system? I mentioned it to you this afternoon. How’s that going?”
