Holt's entire body was constantly exploding, causing wounds to appear all over him. However, what flowed from these wounds was not red blood, but a black, viscous liquid.
In an instant, the black liquid turned transparent and re-entered Holt's body. His wounds began to heal rapidly until they were completely gone.
Black energy receded from Holt's abdomen, gradually moving upward, and was soon forced into his brain. Holt roared, "Dark Lord, don't let me see you in another world!"
Boom!
A thunderous sound echoed through the sky. The connection to Holt's demonic power was severed by the Cold Lord, but the evil seed in Holt's brain remained. This was because the black shadow nourished Holt, allowing him to survive.
Each evil god could only nurture one puppet per dimension. The puppet carried a seed of the evil god within them. If the puppet died, the seed would transform into demonic energy and return to the evil god.
Only when this energy returned could the evil god seek a new puppet in the world. Since evil gods were not bound by dimensions, having two seeds in the same dimensions would alert the dimensional guardians.
The dimensional guardians would then appear, destroy the puppet, and seal the seed, preventing the evil god from invading that dimension again. The Dark Messenger used the black shadow to absorb dark energy and sustain Holt's life, effectively trapping the seed in a new way.
"Cold Lord, you coward!"
The Dark Messenger cursed under his breath. He had expected the Cold Lord to cooperate for the sake of his interest in this world. But instead, the god chose to relinquish his foothold rather than work with him.
