"Hahaha!"
Horst threw his head back in laughter and said, "Wilbur, do you see it now? Everyone wants to see you die. You think you represent justice, that you represent light, but you will never understand the human heart. Even if you're the successor of the Child of Light, death is all that awaits you!"
With that, Horst quickly formed hand seals while chanting an incantation. Suddenly, in the space in front of him, to the left and right, two massive vortexes appeared in mid-air. From these vortexes emerged two black, shadowy mages.
The two mages simultaneously waved their staffs, and giant boulders suddenly rained down from the sky, crashing down rapidly. Wilbur dodged left and right, but there were too many boulders. In an instant, one of them plummeted from right above him.
Wilbur had no choice but to raise his hands, forcibly holding up a boulder. Then, a second boulder crashed into the first, followed by a third. Gritting his teeth, Wilbur's body shook violently, and a powerful aura exploded outward, shattering the boulders above him into countless pieces.
Seeing this, Wilbur hurriedly activated a protective shield to block the debris, then turned his gaze toward Horst in the distance. Horst's hands were still locked in seals, indicating that this technique required him to maintain the hand gestures, or the two mages would disappear.
With a flick of his left wrist, the Azure Dragon Spear appeared. In the next instant, Wilbur hurled the spear with all his might. The spearhead pierced through three boulders and shot straight at Horst.
Horst chanted another incantation, and the two mages in mid-air quickly conjured a defensive wall with their staffs. The next moment, the Azure Dragon Spear struck the wall. The wall dented rapidly, but soon, the force behind the spear dissipated entirely, and the spear fell to the ground.
The two mages resumed their assault—one summoned more boulders, while the other conjured a whirlwind. Wilbur took a few steps forward but was immediately blown back by the fierce wind.
"Damn it!"
