"No need!"
Dubond gritted his teeth, understanding that Eugene was determined to escape, even at the cost of his life. Even if Fred managed to track him down in Walker Town, a fierce battle would surely ensue between them, and the outcome would likely be Eugene's death and Fred being seriously injured.
Dubond knew that Eugene was well aware of the consequences of his escape. It was a fate worse than death, filled with pain and despair. Thus, Dubond knew Eugene would not return. Rather than risking Fred's injury, Dubond decided it was better to have him test Trevor.
Dubond understood that if the enemy were not extremely powerful, Eugene would not have fled. Therefore, Eugene's escape only confirmed that Trevor was a formidable cultivator.
As Dubond and Fred headed back, Dubond instructed, "Fred, go to the Robert family estate immediately and gather information for me. I want to know just how strong this Trevor really is."
"Yes, my lord."
"And remember, don't engage in a death match. If you can't win, retreat immediately."
Watching Fred's figure disappear into the darkness, the murderous intent in Dubond's eyes grew more intense. No matter what, Eugene's departure was closely tied to this Trevor, and Dubond intended to settle this score with him.
In Dubond's mind, driving Eugene away was not a mistake. On the contrary, he placed the blame squarely on Wilbur. He believed he had never made any wrong decisions.
