"Yes, sir," the secretary answered and immediately ran over to say politely, "Mister Chuke, Mister Young would like to have a conversation with you."
"Which Mister Young?" asked James in an uncaring tone.
The secretary replied, "The person in charge of the East City District."
"Tell him to come over here instead. He's just in charge of a district. What a joke," said James coldly.
The secretary was dumbfounded. He could not believe James would be so uncooperative.
Declan Young was a district official, and they were in his turf. How could he speak to Mister Young like that regardless of his financial status?
"Please reconsider. Mister Young is the person in charge of the East City District," The secretary reiterated Declan's identity.
However, James chuckled and said, "I told you to get him to come over. Did I not make myself clear?"
The secretary frowned and said coldly, "You'll have to deal with the consequences."
Then, the secretary returned to Declan and passed on the message.
Declan blew a fuse immediately. What the hell was that guy thinking? How dare he be so uncooperative?
"He's just a nobody from Woodstown. How dare he dismiss you so arrogantly? He will step all over you if you don't teach him a lesson," Wade instigated by his side.
Declan scoffed. There were many rich businessmen in the East City District with net worths in the billions, and they were all polite and respectful towards Declan. However, an outsider like James actually dared to disrespect him so openly. How could he maintain his image as the person in charge of the district if news of this got out?
"Let's go. We'll see who the hell he thinks he is." Declan walked toward James in anger.
The secretary, Wade, Zack, the manager, and Reggie followed behind him.
Declan arrived in front of James. He frowned and sized him up before asking in a low voice, "How should I address you?"
