"Well, we're going to be rich!" Skyler was overjoyed. As long as there was anything left in that ancient cave, they would be able to use it for cultivation.
Just then, a loud roar sounded and gave the three of them a shock.
A gigantic figure shot out from a tall bush, opening its huge jaw and chomping down on Wilbur.
Wilbur whipped out his thunder cleaver, retaliating right away.
The thunder cleaver let out a dull thud as if it collided against solid metal.
The figure was knocked backward and lay on the ground as it hissed at Wilbur and the rest.
It was only then that they were able to see the figure for what it was, a gigantic python over twenty meters long.
The python was a bright red color that made it look like it was on fire. It had a single horn protruding from its head and two wings behind its jaw. It shone with a red spiritual glow, glowering murderously at Wilbur and the rest.
Skyler had the shock of his life. "What is that?"
"I'm pretty sure that's a serpent." Weston was in shock as well.
It was said that if a snake were to absorb enough spiritual energy, it would become a serpent in five hundred years, and then transform into a dragon in five thousand years.
Wilbur frowned. "This place is abundant in spiritual energy. It's perfectly normal that a serpent was forged here."
However, the other two were scared out of their wits. It would take at least five hundred years for a snake to become a serpent, and neither of them even dared to imagine just how powerful a serpent who had been absorbing spiritual energy for five hundred years would be.
"Don't worry. It's at most at the Sanctuary level. It did absorb a lot of spiritual energy, but it doesn't know how to cultivate. It has the intelligence of a child at best, so there's not much to be afraid of," Wilbur said.
