Wilbur sighed to himself. If these Weisses really were cultivators, there was not much a mere fighter would be able to do.
Besides, the Weiss clan had been around for ages. They were bound to have forces all over Taya City, or they would not dare to do such a thing.
Wallace's family was rich, but they made all their money from mining. They were nothing in comparison to the Weiss clan.
Just like Matt and Gerard's clan, as well as the Owens clan from back then, there had been no one in Seechertown but Wilbur who was capable of taking them down.
Wilbur had his sights set on the Goldmoon. He was going to try and talk his way into getting it, and if that didn't work, he had no qualms about using extreme methods.
Just like that, they finally arrived in Taya City the next afternoon.
Wallace called his father as soon as they were off the freeway, but his expression only dropped even further after getting off the call. "My dad won't let me be a part of this. He's insisting that I continue my holiday."
Wilbur knew at once that this meant Wallace's father had little chance of winning this and was only telling Wallace to stay out of this for his own good.
Wilbur pondered briefly and said, "That's fine. Let's find a place to stay for now, then. The talk's happening at night, isn't it? You can take me there. Talk it out nicely if you can, and I'll take action if they refuse to be civil. I promise you I'll beat them into submission and fix this once and for all for you and your family. How's that?"
"Are you sure? My old man says the Weisses know magic or something." Wallace was starting to chicken out.
Cultivators, huh?
Wilbur smiled. "I know magic too, and I know some really powerful ones. I promise you the Lesters will win this."
"Really? Don't bullshit me, man. You might embarrass my family." Wallace did not seem to believe this.
Wilbur chuckled. He opened his palm, and the space above it began to hiss and glow with sparks of lightning.
