Two men in suits and earpieces were stationed right at the door, and there was a sign saying, 'Do Not Enter'.
Wilbur and Faron glanced at it, and promptly headed one floor up.
"What are we gonna do now?" Orin's secrecy was making Faron even more anxious.
Even Wilbur could sense that something was off.
Orin's guards were always strict with their protection, which was more than fine.
The problem, however, was the venue.
With Orin's status, his entire schedule was usually planned days and weeks in advance. There was no way he would sneak out to some random place at the last minute.
On top of that, it was highly unlikely that he would be here right after an argument with his wife.
Wilbur gave it some thought, and said, "There's nothing we can do, we can't get in. Let's just go back."
"Dude, you know something's wrong here. Aren't you going to help me?" Faron asked.
Wilbur sighed. "This is… different."
"Come on, man. Help me out. He can't do this to our family!" Faron was starting to get angry.
Wilbur hurried to nod with another sigh. "Alright, fine, I'll help. But promise me you won't do anything rash."
"I promise," Faron nodded solemnly.
Wilbur cursed internally. What the f*ck was he even doing here?
Still, he did not want Orin to make such a grave mistake and called Skyler.
Skyler arrived soon after, and Wilbur said, "Camouflage yourself and get in there. Tell me what's going on."
Skyler rubbed his hands together gleefully. "Ooh, me likey."
Wilbur glared at him, and Skyler's figure shrank into himself at once, slowly faded from sight, and made his way into the steakhouse without anyone noticing.
