Casper Pugh's suicide was not enough to calm the scandal down. It was apparent that the president was involved.
She was well aware that Calvin was trying to seize the opportunity to stir up trouble. Once their cover was blown and the truth was revealed, Pentagon Corp would be forced to make a public apology and admit their mistakes.
The Chief Prosecutor and the director would be replaced by people who worked for Calvin in that case. Pentagon Corp would then lose its grip on the government.
They have held the high ground in their standoff with the presidential office for the longest time. Multiple presidents had to announce policies according to their wishes, which brought enormous benefits to the enterprise and continuously strengthened their power.
They would no longer be able to keep Calvin in check if they were to yield and admit their mistakes. Their interests would suffer significant losses, and that was unacceptable to her.
"Robin!" Michelle yelled angrily.
The tall and skinny man mysteriously appeared.
"Kill everyone in that hotel room. I don't care who gets in your way. Kill them all."
Michelle did not want to do that because she thought she could settle it with political methods. She did not want to resort to violence because it would easily trace back to her.
However, she had no other choice now.
The tall and skinny man, Robin, nodded and walked out of the villa slowly.
It was dark outside when he walked out of the villa.
He spent nearly two hours walking slowly toward the Sky Garden Hotel.
His blank face did not show any expression when he looked at the special agents at the door. His body levitated to the hotel rooftop.
A huge darkness enveloped the hotel. He turned into a shadow and infiltrated the hotel.
The secretary reported in the presidential office, "Michelle Jenkins' best fighter, Robin, has entered the hotel."
Calvin was silent for a long while before he replied slowly, "We should retreat if he appears. If he doesn't, we'll work overnight to prepare a press conference."
