Wilbur answered the call when he saw that it was Elsa on the phone.
"What's wrong?"
"Bro, you guys have work. Get over here quickly. This place is haunted."
"What kind of joke is this?"
"I'm serious! The police couldn't do anything and turned to us, but I couldn't do anything too. It's too creepy. Just hurry over and take a look. It's really haunted here."
Wilbur sighed after hearing Elsa's solemn tone. He asked for the address and then notified Ryder.
Faye shook her head and said, "So, Mister Ever-So-Busy, did something happen again?"
"I can't help it. If I knew I'd face so many problems, I wouldn't have entered that stupid department," Wilbur grumbled in frustration.
Faye laughed and said, "I wonder if it's too late to back out now."
"I'll turn in my resignation tomorrow. It's so annoying," Wilbur replied unhappily.
Faye and Skyler chuckled. That was a secret national department. It would not be that easy for Wilbur to resign from it.
Ryder brought over his suitcase very soon. Wilbur got out of the car and hopped into Ryder's car, then the two left in a hurry.
Faye watched as the car drove away, then lamented, "Serves you right! I hope you exhaust yourself to death."
"Can you really bear to see him die, Miss Yves?" Skyler teased.
…
Ryder and Wilbur arrived at an apartment in a nearby suburb. Elsa was already waiting for them.
After the three met up, Elsa said, "I think I really ran into a ghost."
"You saw it?" Wilbur asked.
Elsa shook her head. "No, but you should have a look. Listen to what this family has to say first."
Wilbur was doubtful. The three of them arrived at the house of a family in the apartment.
