"But he didn't lie, right?" Shelby defended.
Whitney was frustrated at her ignorance. "Liars are good at hiding their lies. He may seem like a kind-hearted person, but you'll never know what he's truly up to. You need to be careful."
"What are you talking about? He's my brother's friend," Shelby said.
Whitney retorted, "Did you think that being your brother's friend would automatically make him a good person? Shelby, you're too naive."
Shelby was speechless. Meanwhile, Wilbur was also shaking his head. Why in the world was Whitney so prejudiced against him?
"Whitney, aren't you looking down on others a little too much?" Wilbur snapped coldly.
Whiney scoffed and said, "You're worthless to begin with. Why blame others for looking down on you?"
Wilbur felt his anger welling up from within. However, for Shelby's sake, he suppressed it and said, "Shelby, you guys should leave. This place will be quite chaotic later."
Shelby nodded absentmindedly. However, Whitney interjected loudly, "Why are you sending us away? Are you trying to do something shameful?"
Wilbur was speechless. Just as he was about to speak, he saw three young men dressed in branded clothing walking over.
One of them wearing a suit said to Whitney, "Hey, pretty. What's happening? Do you need help?"
Whitney gave the man a once over and said, "I just ran into a charlatan."
"Is that so? My name is Ian Leef. I'm a friend of the boss here, and he's also a cultivator. You can just let me know if you encounter any problems."
Ian was all smiles as he stared at Whitney.
Ian himself was also a cultivator, but he lacked talent, so he did not even manage to achieve the Aura level.
