The people from the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection were here, and Victor knew he was going to be punished. It was best that he confessed and faced justice.
Faron glanced at Steve, who was starting to panic as well.
Elsa then said, "A government official trying to frame someone for something they didn't do and causing a public disturbance. You're coming back with me. I've got some questions for you."
Steve was scared out of his wits now. "No, no, wait! This is all just a misunderstanding, I wasn't trying to frame him."
"I'll be the judge of that after I'm done investigating. You shut your mouth," Elsa said sharply, and Steve trembled all over. "Ma'am, my father's in charge of the south district. We're all colleagues here, so let's go easy on each other."
Elsa barked out a laugh, pointing a thumb at Faron. "Well, he's the son of Orin Campbell, but I'd arrest him all the same if he were to break the law. Who the hell are you to say anything?"
Faron's face flushed purple, and he glowered at Elsa.
Steve, however, felt like his soul had just left his body. This man was… actually Orin Campbell's son?
On second thought, he did hear the name 'Faron' earlier.
There weren't a lot of people going by that name in Seechertown. Which meant…
Steve looked at Faron, his legs shaking as he almost fainted.
If this man really was Faron Campbell, Steve would have never even dared to say a word in his presence.
Steve looked at Faron, before turning to Wilbur and falling to his knees. "Please, sir, I'm sorry! It's my fault, I shouldn't have accused you of anything! Please forgive me just this time. I'll never do it again."
He was certain now that Faron was Orin Campbell's son.
After all, Elsa would not lie to him given her identity. It was not like she had a reason to lie in the first place.
Besides, Faron's features did resemble Orin to some extent.
