Nancy thought about it for a long time. She had nowhere to go the next day anyway, and the Drunken Inn was a decent choice.
After that, she still let out a wry smile. It was all just an excuse because she wanted to see Wilbur.
…
The next day at noon, Wilbur finished his meditation before he got into his car, driving to the Drunken Inn.
The parking lot outside of the Drunken Inn was already full of cars, and it was hard to find a parking spot.
After finally managing to find one, he immediately took it. Before he even finished parking, a Maserati rushed over, and a man got out of the car shouting, "That spot is mine."
Wilber glanced at the man. It was not a familiar face, and the car had a foreign number plate too. So, Wilbur said, "Sir, I parked here first, I'm sorry."
Two women got out of the car as well. They were both in their twenties, with model-like figures and stunning looks. They stood next to the man and looked at Wilbur unhappily.
The man was in his thirties and was dressed head to toe in branded clothes. He looked quite good as well, but Wilbur had no intention of agreeing to his request. Wilbur still needed to see Sullivan.
Noticing that Wilbur was about to leave, the man said in a hurry, "Hey, I saw that parking spot first. That's just rude."
"Shouldn't it belong to who parks there first?" Wilbur said.
The man frowned and said, "You better leave immediately. The Drunken Inn isn't letting just anyone inside today, and you can't afford to offend me. Do you understand?"
Wilbur laughed and looked at his number plate, saying, "This is Seechertown, man."
"So?" one of the girls said with disdain. "This is Mister Thatcher from Jiara Province. He has the support of a powerful and wealthy family behind him, and he's someone big no matter where he goes. Who do you think you are? Do you think you're so great just because you're a local?"
