Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 70

The monster was unimaginably powerful, and any one of its attacks would be fatal.
The cleaver slashed through the air, producing screeching sounds with every move.
Ryder was skilled and agile. He weaved through the attacks from the cleaver as his blazing dagger stabbed the monster in various places. Both parties were equally skilled, and it was hard to tell who had the upper hand.
Elsa looked on worriedly. “Aren’t you going to help?”
“You heard the guy. I’m not allowed to intervene,” Wilbur said helplessly.
Elsa shook her head “Surely the rules don’t matter at a time like this.”
“You go, then. I’m not trying to convince someone to let me break their st upid rule,” Wilbur said, lighting up another cigarette and taking a long drag.
Elsa glared at Wilbur. “Are you trying to get me killed? Do I look like I’m a match for that monster?”
“Well, there’s nothing I can do about it,” Wilbur said.
Elsa had no choice but to keep a close eye on the battle, praying with all her might that Ryder would win as she cursed him internally for being so insistent on his department’s wretched rules.
Those official authorities were just this way, placing all kinds of restrictions that you were required to follow, or you would be punished. Elsa felt like screaming
Just then, the battle between Ryder and the monster reached a climax.
The monster howled, and its bl oody glowing cleaver grew bigger with each swing, constricting the air around it every time it swung down.
Ryder was fighting with all his might as well, glowing with spirit energy as the dagger in his hand burned brightly with spirit flames
Isa was extremely worried. Wilbur continued puffing on his cigarette, hardly paying the battle any mind.
Just then, Ryder let out a bowl. A blinding spirit ray lit up his left arm with a small shield, deflecting one of the monster’s
attacks.
A booming sound rang through the air and the shield was shattered under tremendous force. Blood gushed out of Ryder’s arm as his flesh was torn in a terrifying manner
At the same time, Ryder had gotten close enough to the beast to dig his dagger into the monster’s torso, leaving several huge wounds and a huge ga sh.
He stumbled backwards after that and his left arm hung limply by his side. It seemed like his left arm was a lost cause.
The monster looked comparably worse for wear. There were several holes in its body that were the size of a fist as well as the Jong, gaping g ash that almost split the monster into two.
It was a miracle that the monster was even standing.
Elsa finally heaved a sigh of relief. The wounds on the monster were definitely fatal this time.
At the same time, she was beginning to look at Hyder a little differently. No wonder he had been so stubbom before. He was, indeed, quite skilled.
Ryder’s chest heaved as he stared the monster down. The spirit energy in his body was drained by then, and the spirit flame on his dagger had been put out as well. With the addition of his wounds, he was barely holding himself up.
He stared at the swaying monster, heaving a sigh of relief internally.
Yet Wilbur began to frown.
Cheer 170
Just then, the monster howled once again, “Blood for the Blood Go d, Skull for the Skull Throne!”
The heavily wounded monster began to wave its cleaver, striking his own body as copious amounts of blood gushed out onto the blade.
At the same time, an overwhelming spiritual energy burst out of the monster and surged out to its surroundings.
Elsa, who was at least fifty meters away, could not hold her footing and stumbled backward from the pressure.
Ryder was in complete shock. He held his dagger in front of him, his expression growing solemn.
A second later, the monster pulled the cleaver out of its belly. The cleaver had turned from bright red to dark red now, burning with a red spirit flame.
How dare you weak little nobodies challenge the authority of the blood god. Die!”
As the monster howled, the cleaver swung down, and a ray of red light shot out toward Hyder
