"What are you going to do?" asked Wilbur.

Emperor Tyler's smile turned wistful. "What is there to do? This thing's been around longer than the royal family has. All I can do is wait for something to happen and think of a way to deal with it when the time comes."

Wilbur nodded. Waiting was one of the solutions to a problem that could not be fixed.

"Call me the second something changes," said Wilbur.

Emperor Tyler smiled. "I knew you're a man of your word. Come on, let's have a drink."

He left with Wilbur, and Zenith shut the door after all of them were out.

The runes lit up, and the room was sealed once more.

The three men returned to the living room in Emperor Tyler's quarters, where he took out a bottle of aged rum and swiveled it around. "Angostura Rum. They only sold twenty bottles of this worldwide."

Wilbur said nothing. Emperor Tyler opened the bottle, and Zenith fetched two crystal goblets.

Emperor Tyler swirled the bottle around one more time before pouring himself and Wilbur a glass. "Cheers."
