Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 809

"Is anything the matter, then?" Wilbur asked.

Jayen said, "I'm here for Kory Hunlip. Heard he's here now."

"That's right. He's a guest of mine, you can talk to me."

"Yeah? Well, are you going to pay his debt for him too, then?" Jayen asked in a deep voice.

Wilbur chuckled. "Whoever applied for that loan would be paying."

Jayen tossed a stack of documents onto the table. "Here's all the proof that you need to know. He applied for the loan himself."

"Really? Why do I feel like he didn't?"

"The truth's not going to change just because you want it to. I'm telling you, I've dealt with bastards like you before who refuse to pay up! Don't make me give you a hard time," Jayen spat.

Wilbur's expression darkened. "I was thinking of giving you a chance, but it seems that I've overestimated all of you. Well, since you think you're above the law, I'm going to have to give you a hard time too."

"Give me a hard time?" Jayen snorted. "I've yet to meet anyone in Seechertown who dared to say that to me."

Wilbur smiled. "Let me make a phone call."

"Go ahead. I'd like to see who you can get to help you," Jayen said, leaning back in his chair smugly.

Wilbur said nothing more, taking out his phone and calling Faron.

He explained everything to him, before saying, "Bring Belinda Hogan and that bank president to me too."

"Nice, bro! I'm going to get another case on my belt."

Faron hung up the call excitedly. Despite this not exactly being the best way to do things, Faron was still able to have some amount of control.

Wilbur then called Elsa, briefly explaining the situation to her before hanging up.

Jayen looked at Wilbur quietly, his expression full of disdain.

He had seen plenty of people like Wilbur and had also witnessed them call for help.

In the end, though, they would still end up at Jayen's feet, heeding his every wish.

Anyone who thought they would be able to get away with acting out in front of Jayen was making a fool of themselves.
