The church militia immediately opened fire, taking out all the soldiers in an instant.
Karl said, "Clean up the battlefield and take their weapons. We're going back."
…
The next morning, Lars had just got up, but he was already throwing a tantrum in his villa.
He could not believe Henrod's army was eradicated. He thought Henrod was absolutely useless to fail even after he was provided with advanced weaponry.
The more serious situation was the rumors about his conspiracy with Keith.
There was no evidence to back the rumors, so it was not a threat to him yet.
However, it most certainly was not a good sign.
"Sir, we are handling those rumors, but how do we deal with Saturn Village?" asked his assistant.
Lars looked displeased. He paced around in his living room without saying anything.
His assistant lowered his gaze and silently waited.
Lars said coldly after a long while, "I told you to investigate the Everest Foreign Trade. How's the investigation?"
"I investigated. It started with the incident of Keith Sackler abducting the Everest Foreign Trade's CEO, then this happened."
"So you mean you're sure this has something to do with them?"
"It can't be confirmed, but it must be related somehow."
Lars fell into deep thought.
Negative news about him appeared, so he assumed he was being targeted.
He could not use military force to eradicate those people at Saturn Village anymore because he had quite a few political enemies.
They could easily catch him red-handed, so it was a very dangerous thing to do.
He had been in the political circle for decades and knew very well that something minor could bring about disastrous outcomes.
He had to be careful. He thought about Keith's death, that bullshit church, Karl's rebellion, Henrod's death, and the rumors about him and Keith.
It all seemed connected to Everest Foreign Trade.
