Conan looked at Nancy and hesitated, unable to speak.
Samantha smiled coldly and said, "Conan, the bride is asking you a question. Please speak."
Conan looked embarrassed and found it difficult to stand still.
Seeing this, Samantha snorted coldly, "Let me do the talking."
Nancy looked at Samantha.
"I pursued Conan in the past. I admit that I was attracted by Conan's handsome appearance. In order to pursue him, I promised to invest twenty million dollars in his business to expand the production scale. He took the money," Samantha said coldly.
Conan quickly interjected, "Samantha, I paid you back the money."
"Yes, you paid it back, and you married someone else!" Samantha shouted.
Conan sighed and said, "Back then, you did not say that you lent me this money so that I would marry you."
"Do I need to say more? You pretended to be confused because you understood. After you used the money to start your business, you started to grow distant and cold towards me," Samantha's face began to look ferocious.
She was already extremely ugly. Coupled with her extreme anger, her entire face distorted into a rather demonic look.
Conan sighed and said, "Samantha, you've misunderstood. I really did not know that you had this intention at the time."
Samantha said fiercely, "You did not know, eh? Well, you are quite good at acting. I'm bringing an end to this show of yours today! You should know that your loan in the bank will mature soon."
"Does this matter? We have agreed that I can roll over the loan," Conan said.
Samantha smiled smugly.
She looked at Conan and shook her head, "To tell you the truth, it is impossible to roll over the loan, and it is impossible for another bank to provide you with a loan. Your factory will close down."
When Conan heard this, he felt his heart freeze over.
He started from scratch, slowly working his way up from a handicraft workshop to a factory.
Only he knew the hardships involved.
All his funds came from loans, and he had no money at all.
Otherwise, he would not have used Samantha's twenty million dollars to turn things around.
