After the twenty minutes of interpretation were over, the examiners quickly scored the interviewees.
Patricia walked with Clara out of the conference room and praised her. “Your interpretation skills are impressive Clara. Your comprehensive results will come out tomorrow morning, but even if you did poorly in the other part of the interview it won’t matter. Just with your performance from this test, I can have you enter EMC.
She hadn’t monitored Clara’s written part of the interview, but she had heard the other interviewees saying at lunch that Clara had turned in her paper very quickly and had seemed like she wasn’t able to finish it.
But even if Clara’s comprehensive score wasn’t good enough, she would open a back door for her to enter the translation department.
She was Donny Cohen’s future sister-in-law.........
Clara couldn’t see Patricia’s schemes and thought that Patricia had just been misled by the discourse, believing the reports that she had earlier not done well on the written part of the interview, and thus had comforted her.
Thinking of her bet with Patricia, she didn’t say anything and only smiled, “Thank you, Patricia. “
At this moment, Sharon happened to come out from the conference room opposite them.
Recognizing Patricia, Sharon at once greeted her. “Patricia, I am Sharon Dobson. Randall Dobson from the purchasing department is my uncle. I look forward to working with you in the future when I join the translation department. “
“We’ll talk about it once you join the translation department. “ In contrast to Sharon’s enthusiasm, Patricia was very cold. “I’ll have to excuse myself, there are things I have to attend to.”
Sharon had just stretched out hand. She hadn’t expected Patricia to leave so suddenly.
She could only withdraw her hand resentfully. Then, turning around she grabbed Clara who was about to leave, and asking her dubiously, “Clara, do you know Patricia?”
She had seen that Patricia had a smile on her face when she was talking to Clara but had been very cold when she talked to her.
It shouldn’t be like that.
The Rowan family had fallen, and Clara Rowan was notorious. She didn’t have any friends that would help her, so how did she know Patricia?
“Do I need to tell you if I know her or not?” Clara asked rhetorically, glancing down at her, “Keep your paws to yourself!”
Being humiliated by her made Sharon boil with anger. She wanted to reply.
However, when she met Clara’s cold eyes, she couldn’t help but swallow and reflexively let go of her, trembling from that inexplicably frightening look of hers.
Watching Clara leave, Sharon felt relieved.
However, before she could relax, Clara, who had had already two steps forward, turned around and asked, “Has Ruby Leke contacted you recently?”
“No.” Sharon replied almost at once.
Ever since the affair between Ruby Leke and Aaron Martin had become known, she had quickly broken off their relationship. She was afraid that if she was too close to Ruby Leke, Steve Lane would retaliate against her company.
Hearing this, Clara guessed that Ruby had a lot of evidence against Steve, otherwise he wouldn’t have hidden her so well.
“If she contacts you, tell me, and I will reward you.” Clara patted Sharon on the shoulder. She was really leaving this time.
It wasn’t until she entered the elevator that Sharon felt the pressure around her slowly disappear.
She reacted belatedly, gritting her teeth, and scolding herself, “Clara is now just a down-and-out lady. Why am I afraid of her? Why should I answer everything she asks? “
She was so pissed off!
When she saw a woman coming out of Clara’s examination room, she immediately walked up. “Who was monitoring you just now?”
“I only know one Patricia from the translation department. I don’t know the other two.”
When she learned that Patricia had monitored Clara, she quickly realized that Clara’s interpretation score must have been particularly good, and that was why Patricia was so polite to her.
