Donny’s car drove into EMC Group’s underground garage, and at the restaurant, Baxter protecting Clara broke out of the encirclement.

Baxter gasped for air as the two ran for a taxi.

Baxter couldn’t believe their predicament and mumbled, “We originally were there to watch Sharon make a fool of herself, but in the end, we were surrounded instead. We were harmed by Ethan’s gift!”

“Everywhere there are people who like to gossip.” Clara also couldn’t believe the situation.

She didn’t expect that people would still chase after her like paparazzi and pay attention to her life such a long time after the Rowan family had faded from importance.

Clara looked at the black rose in her arms and frowned. “Is this really a gift from Ethan?”

“For sure!” Baxter said with certainty, pointing to the velvet box she held. “There’s no other rose diamond like that in the world! It was originally bought by someone else. Ethan asked me to check the buyer’s contact information and spent a lot of money to buy it from him...”

There was no one around at this point, so Clara opened the velvet box again. She saw that the diamond was very large and translucent, and that it was shaped naturally.

It was definitely the largest and rarest rose diamond in the world.

“Too fucking good-looking!” Baxter glanced at the rose diamond and sighed, “Who else but Ethan is awesome enough to be able to give you such priceless jewelry?”

Yeah.

Clara thought: It’s only Ethan who can make a gift of such expensive jewelry without blinking.

Baxter glanced at his phone and then had the driver stop the car on the side of the road. He opened the door and left. “Clara, I have something to do. You go on ahead!”

Clara nodded, “Okay.”

The rose diamond was rare, and it had significantly impacted Clara. Nevertheless, she still thought about something else.

Clara took out his phone and turned it on.

At the end of the interpretation exam last night, she had seen Sharon talking to one of the interviewers in the examination room where she had taken her test when she had left. She had guessed what Sharon was planning.

So, when she saw the news on Baxter’s phone, she was not surprised at all.

She told Baxter that she had no way out, but that was just to tease him.

Later, when she had gone to the company, and had heard Sharon say that Patricia was being investigated, Clara had still remained calm.

Because Sharon had already fallen into her trap, no matter what she did she had already lost.

The only thing that surprised her was that someone had not only had posted on Twitter that she had entered D country’s president’s office and had translated for the president but had also posted a video to prove it.

There were very few people that knew she had this experience. Who had posted that video?

Was it Ethan?

Ethan had extraordinary power, so she wouldn’t be surprised if one of his people had investigated every moment of her life.

However, after being with Ethan for a while, Clara had begun to understand him. She didn’t think that he would care that much about her life, and he would also want her to solve matters herself.

After eliminating Ethan, Clara vaguely guessed another person and her eyes flashed.

The black rose petals that Clara was holding in his arms were like black silk. Their petals were thick, had a mysterious color and emitted a faint flowery perfume into the air.

Men always gave woman red roses. She hadn’t thought Ethan was that ingenious.

Clara’s fingers stroked the rose petals and her heart throbbed. Out of the blue, she saw a card nestled among the black rose petals.

She hadn’t noticed it before because the card was black and gold, the same colors as the roses, and because it was nestled in the roses.

Clara took out the card and flipped it open with her fingers.
