Chapter 116
As they approached the gate of the castle–like manor, the parking lot was already bustling with luxury cars. It was evident that there were many people inside.
Finn said with a faint but charming smile, “Let’s go.
He embodied all the qualities of a charismatic young man. He had a gentle demeanor that naturally drew people toward him, making them like him even more.
Angela linked her arm with his in a relaxed manner as they strolled into the venue side by
side.
The banquet hall was grand and opulently decorated. Angela’s eyes were drawn to the welcome poster at the entrance, which stood about two meters tall.
The poster displayed beautiful photographs of the happy couple on their wedding day. The groom had striking features with black hair, green eyes, and fair skin, hinting at his mixed heritage. Standing next to him, the bride exuded grace and elegance.
Finn introduced, “This is Julian Lare, a close friend I made while studying here.”
Arm in arm, the two of them entered the venue as Angela’s eyes swept over the elaborate accessories adorning the necks and wrists of the guests. Clearly, they were all either affluent or aristocrats, judging by the fact that they wore carefully crafted accessories made by renowned designers.
Some people styled themselves with effortless elegance, exuding a natural beauty. Others stood out in their dark–colored ensembles, looking bold and eye–catching. There were also people who’d chosen outfits that matched their temperaments more closely, creating a seamless harmony.
Angela suddenly caught sight of a stunning pink gemstone necklace. The large gemstone was a rare find, emitting a soft glow under the light that wasn’t blinding but still captured everyone’s attention.
“Ms. Graham, what a coincidence to see you here!” exclaimed the woman with the pink gemstone necklace.
Angela looked up and immediately recognized the familiar face. She couldn’t help but sigh to herself when she recognized Elena. It seemed enemies could cross paths in the most unexpected of places.
But the surprises didn’t end there. Elena turned around and patted another man on the shoulder, causing him to turn around. It was none other than Dexter.
Why were they here too? Suddenly, Angela lost all interest and had a strong urge to pull Finn away from this uncomfortable situation.

Elena smiled. “Ms. Graham, I thought you knew that Dexter was coming today. I assumed you two would be here together. I didn’t expect that…”
She took a quick look at Finn, who stood next to Angela, and sized him up. “Is this your friend?”
“Yeah, this is my friend, Finn,” Angela replied, pretending not to notice Dexter as she made the introduction.
“You’re really great,” Dexter gave her a cold look, his gaze sharp as a knife.
Angela smiled sweetly, “I’m always great.”
After saying that, she started to pull Finn away. But in the next second, a hand yanked her toward the exit of the banquet hall. Finn tried to stop Dexter, but Elena held him back.
