Chapter 120
The group turned to face her, their expressions filled with concern.
Angela was the pillar of the group, and without her, they would be lost. They couldn’t afford for anything to happen to her.
But Angela regained her composure and let out a hearty laugh. “Do I look like something’s wrong? I’m perfectly fine. When the results are announced later, no matter how we place, none of us should feel down about it.”
Everyone nodded in agreement.
When they arrived at the venue, half of the competitors were already there, chatting quietly amongst themselves.
The judges soon joined them and wasted no time in announcing the rankings of the competition, forgoing any unnecessary words or small talk.
“Oh my goodness!” Alan exclaimed when he saw Angela’s name. “Angela, you’re first! That’s incredible; you definitely earned it!”
The others were equally amazed and expressed their surprise. Angela gestured for everyone to calm down with her eyes; she had also seen her own name at the top.
She looked further down the list and noticed Bella’s name–the woman who’d gotten married to Julian. Bella was sitting next to them, and when their eyes met, she smiled in
response.
Angela was shocked to see that not only had she made it, but even Alan, Clara, and the others had made it into the top 30. Even George, who was the least skilled, was placed in the 25th position.
This was a highly competitive intercontinental competition, and it was extremely difficult to achieve such high rankings.
Angela was impressed beyond belief. She had watched her teammates hang their heads in defeat after the competition, certain that they hadn’t performed well.
Yet, when the team results were announced, it was no surprise to anyone that they had won first place.
เ
“Wow, I had no idea you were so incredible! And your team did an incredible job as well.” Bella congratulated Angela with ease and grace as they walked out together.
On the inside, Angela was bursting with joy, but she maintained a calm and composed demeanor.
She smiled gently and whispered, “Maybe we just got lucky.”

Bella couldn’t hold back her laughter. “If you want to smile, go ahead. You can’t even control your facial expressions, yet you’re trying to act cool?”
Angela didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She never would’ve guessed that Bella was such a lively and cheerful person. She found herself drawn to her personality, and the two made plans to have a meal together.
As the days went on, the competition heated up. Between seeing the doctor and taking medication, Angela also took time to discuss strategies and ideas with her team members. Everyone gave it their best effort.
They faced numerous challenges along the way, but they persevered. During the final competition, Callum made a video call to send his regards to everyone.
“Why did you wait until now to call, Mr. Snowden? We’re almost done with the competition,” Clara joked with a playful tone.
On the video call, Callum smiled kindly and said, “I have faith that all of you will achieve great results, so I already prepared a celebratory banquet for you when you return.”
The group erupted into cheers and excitement. It was rare to have Callum join them for a meal.
